Ste's favourite

If you haven't seen it yet, barbecuesauce.be has an official Facebook group, where my buddy Stephen from Blackpool in the UK, talked about his favourite BBQ Sauce from Dominoe's Pizza: "Dominoes BBQ Sauce, it claims to be a mustard based sauce on the packet but after some thorough research (google) I discovered the contents to be as follows: High fructose corn syrup, tomato paste, distilled vinegar, molasses, brown sugar, salt, modified food starch, spices, mustard bran, natural flavour, onion and garlic powder, colour, lemon juice, preservative (E211)–M quite possibly my favourite so far" Next time I'll go to our Dominoe's, I'll ask them what bbq sauce they use... because their "Barbecue Grill" pizza is quite delicious ! Oh, and replace the smoked bacon by green peppers, it's even better :)

What barbecue sauce is NOT

Tuesday, 24 February 2009 08:04 by marie
We absolutely have to stand up to fight against fake barbecue sauce ! Today, I went for lunch and got me a nice sandwich : fitness baguette - chicken - tomatoes - eggs - salad mix and... BARBECUE SAUCE. When I saw that one I couldn't do anything but tasting it. And I got REALLY disappointed. Well, at first, I couldn't taste the barbecue sauce as much as I'd have liked... they'd been really stingy about it (which with barbecue sauce is a CRIME). Second, never put eggs and bbq sauce together, it's not good at ALL ! About the bbq sauce really, it tasted more like mexican sauce... hot ketchup thing... HOW CAN YOU SAY IT'S BBQ SAUCE WHEN IT TASTE LIKE THAT?!   Barbecue sauce is sweet. Barbecue sauce is little sour. Barbecue sauce is little vinegar. Barbecue sauce is barbecued.  Barbecue sauce is NOT hot mexican ketchup shit !

HP Original BBQ Sauce

Thursday, 19 February 2009 07:27 by nico and marie
This one is really our favorite one ! I would even say it has become our standard ! This barbecue sauce is just as sweet and sour as wished ! It's very good with all types of meat (sausages, chicken, steack...). We also tried it on a pizza to make our own pizza barbecue but it wasn't really concluding. On the label: "ADDS A DELICIOUS SMOKEY FLAVOUR TO YOUR FAVORITE DISHES The original BBQ taste. HP Classic Woodsmoke BBQ sauce has a great smokey flavour drawn from an authentic wood smoking process. It's the perfect accompaniment to grilled and barbecued meats and all your favorite dishes. It is also a great baste; simply turn the meat and brush with sauce during the last 5-10 minutes of grilling." Sweet description, isn't it ?   Found in KaDeWe, Berlin in August 2008 Can be found in Belgium in Carrefour supermarkets Quantity per bottle : 430g - 370ml Price : can't remember !
